About

Taylor was born in Brantford, Ontario and grew up in Kingston, Ontario, where he played high school football at LaSalle S.S. There, Taylor played for legendary coach Berk Brean whom he credits, along with his father Bruce, with starting his football career by helping him attain a football scholarship from UCF.

After spending 4 years on the offensive line at the University of Central Florida (UCF) of the NCAA, Taylor first started his professional career with the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL in 2003. Taylor first came to the CFL by joining the Calgary Stampeders later that year after being released in Philadelphia. Taylor became property of the Stamps by way of the 2003 CFL draft in which they drafted him with the 11th overall pick. Taylor was acquired via trade by the Toronto Argonauts in April 2007.

Now playing his 8th CFL season, Taylor has experienced great success as an offensive lineman for the Argos. In his first 3 seasons with the Argo’s, Taylor has named CFL Eastern Division All-Star (07) and team nominee for CFL Most Outstanding Lineman 3 years in a row (07,08,09).

Taylor resides in Mississauga, ON, and is a huge motor sports fan with NASCAR & NHRA topping the list. Much of his time in the off season is spent in the Toronto area making appearances for the Argos and working in the community. Taylor has his own nonprofit program called ‘Life On The Line’, which supports the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
